Plot Synopsis

In the Dominican Republic, American scientist Symes engineers the future of bio warfare: a half-Barracuda, half-Pterodactyl -- the Pteracuda. But a traitor in his midst hijacks and reprograms the Pteracuda to escape. Mercenary Ham pursues, but is unable to kill, the flying predator. Meanwhile, Lorena, a young marine biologist, finds a baby mutant "Sharktopus." She raises the creature in her uncle's aquarium, studying and training the young beast, even bonding with it. But when Symes discovers Sharktopus' existence, he buys the creature and programs it to kill Pteracuda. Sharktopus and Pteracuda battle, but inevitably, both escape and begin feasting on the tourists of Santo Domingo. Now, Symes and Ham must find the traitor who released Pteracuda and terminate both monsters. Kidnapping Lorena, they will use her knowledge to exterminate the Sharktopus she loves before it destroys the world.
