Plot Synopsis

BE MY GUEST WITH INA GARTEN is a multi-platform series that features the Barefoot Contessa inviting friends old and new to her East Hampton home for a day of conversation, connection, food and fun visits to some of her favorite local spots. series is structured with three distinct versions: an hour-long extended cut on discovery+ (released early morning), food-centric half-hour on Food Network at 12pm ET/PT, and a companion podcast. In the series premiere, mutual fans Ina and actress Julianna Margulies meet for the first time and share Ina's Real Margaritas before talking love, life, and career. After picking herbs in the garden, Juliana cooks her signature Halibut with Herb Butter, adding Ina's suggested magic ingredient to take the dish to the next level. The new friends end their day with a drive to the beach, convertible top down, to share memories and make new ones. Upcoming this season, Chef Erin French from Lost Kitchen Restaurant and The Lost Kitchen on Magnolia Network has a dream come true when she meets her idol: Ina. After baking Banana Crunch Muffins, Ina welcomes her guest, and they discuss Erin's inspiring life and how she made her restaurant a dining destination against all odds. Erin shares her Dad's Meatloaf recipe before hitting the road to explore East Hampton and end the day with a sweet treat from one of Ina's favorite bakeries. Ina also invites journalist Willie Geist over in a role reversal - she has been interviewed by Willie many times, but this time she's the one asking the questions! She greets him with Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookies, and they discuss everything from his childhood as the son of a journalist and early career to meeting his wife at age eleven. The two then shake up Bourbon Sidecars with Dried Cherries to enjoy with their better halves -- Ina's husband Jeffrey and Willie's wife Christina. Finally, Ina welcomes her dear friends, Hollywood director/producer duo Rob Marshall and John DeLuca for Watermelon Cosmopolitans, behind-the-scenes stories about their blockbuster movies, non-stop laughs and even some dancing. John makes Salmon Burgers and Mom's Simplest Cole Slaw and the trio then head out to meet Jeffrey at 1770 House Inn for cheesecake. Prior to its debut, BE MY GUEST WITH INA GARTEN was picked up for two additional seasons.

The sophomore season of BE MY GUEST WITH INA GARTEN premiered on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Noon ET/PT on Food Network. For the season opener, Ina welcomes award-winning singer, songwriter and actress Faith Hill to spend an amazing day at the barn. Ina's toasting her fabulous guest with Frozen Paloma cocktails and some Guacamole before digging deep and talking about love and life, and sharing some family secrets. Then, Faith's lovely daughter Gracie joins them in the kitchen to bake their family's favorite Coca-Cola Cake. Finally, Ina and Faith hit the road for the charming Topping Rose House and Prosecco and St-Germain cocktails to celebrate a brilliant new friendship. In the following episode, Ina serves Nathan Lane a taste of nostalgia with her Rum Raisin Rice Pudding recipe, and they discuss his childhood, personal life and show business career from the early years to his prolific roles on stage and screen. She also gives cooking-novice Nathan a lesson in making Mussels with Saffron Cream. Then, in the next episode, Ina invites her dear friend Emily Blunt to the barn for some classic English Cream Scones with Jam and Clotted Cream to chat and reminisce about their last visit when Emily's roast potatoes became an internet sensation. The duo team up for a perfect Alfresco dinner of Emily's family favorite Turkey Bolognaise and Ina's Caesar Salad with Parmesan Croutons. Finally, Ina meets superstar Chef Marcus Samuelsson with a French 75 cocktail, and she learns about his fascinating journey from Ethiopia to Sweden to the U.S. He teaches Ina the secrets behind his Cured Salmon Salad on Charred Flatbread, and they finish out the day with a visit to one of her favorite local farm stands.

Season 3 of BE MY GUEST WITH INA GARTEN premiered on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at 11:30am ET/PT on Food Network. In the new season, Ina Garten where she welcomes friends old and new to her East Hampton home for in-depth conversations, great food and trips to her favorite local spots. Kicking off with a visit from renown ballerina Misty Copeland, upcoming guests also include actor, director and author Stanley Tucci, award-winning stage and screen actress Laura Linney and Grammy-winning singer songwriter Norah Jones. Be My Guest with Ina Garten premieres Sunday, March 5th at 11:30am ET/PT on Food Network, with one-hour extended episodes streaming on discovery+ and a companion podcast.

In the premiere episode, Ina is joined by superstar ballerina Misty Copeland for a dream day at the barn. After toasting with Kir Royale cocktails and Herbed Ricotta Bruschetta, they dig deep and talk about Misty's extraordinary upbringing, history-making ballet career and the moment she thought it was all over. Misty then shares her family's favorite go-to dinner Citrus Salmon and Mashed Butternut Squash with Ina for a perfect alfresco dinner.

In the next episode, actor-director-tv presenter-author Stanley Tucci makes Ina her first-ever martini and shares his tips for the classic cocktail, which is all new to Ina. After enjoying Easy Oysters Rockefeller, they talk about life, love, career and share their passion for food - including a Tucci kitchen takeover as Stanley makes Cacciucco, a Tuscan seafood stew. To wrap up the day, they take a top-down ride to Main Beach for coffee and more conversation. Ina then welcomes award-winning stage and screen actress Laura Linney to the barn with Blueberry Ricotta Breakfast Cake and they discuss career challenges, stage secrets and cooking party disasters. In a nod to Laura's Southern background, Ina teaches her to make Shrimp Boil with a twist. They then head to Sag Harbor to sightsee and do some antique shopping. Finally, after listening to and loving her music for years, Ina meets singer songwriter Norah Jones for the first time. After sharing a decadent Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie, they discuss everything from Norah's whirlwind rise to fame to family food traditions. Ina teaches her to make Chicken in a Pot with Orzo and they then take a historical Hamptons tour to visit Home Sweet Home, a museum with a musical connection.
