Plot Synopsis

CAN YOU HEAR ME? is a half-hour dramedy series that centers on three friends -- Ada, Tatiana, and Carolanne -- in a low-income neighborhood, who find humor and hope in their lives as they grapple with bad boyfriends and their dysfunctional families. While Ada attends a mandatory anger management therapy session, her friend Caro tries to suppress anxiety over an incident with her now ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, Fabi must pick up the slack for an absent family member. CAN YOU HEAR ME? had its U.S. premiere on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 3:01am ET/PT, as Netflix released the entire 10-episode first season.

Two years later, Ada seeks to rebuild her life and reconnect with her best friends, who are also facing challenges of their own. A freshly paroled Ada is estranged from her friends and hits rock bottom. But after seeing a familiar face, she realizes she's not the only one struggling. A busy Fabi juggles work and caring for Baby then meets a new choir singer who crushes on her. Caro puts on a front when the police check on her. After her shift at the bookstore, she spends time with her mom, but things aren't OK at home.
