Plot Synopsis

CAR MASTERS: RUST TO RICHES is a 40-minute reality series that follows the crew at Gotham Garage -- Mark Towle, Shawn Pilot, Constance Nunes, Tony Quinones, and Mike 'Caveman' Pyle -- as they overhaul an eclectic collection of cars and trucks, trading up to a showstopper they can sell for big bucks. In the series opener, "Outsmarted," the crew tries to convert a 1964 Ford Thunderbird into a bonafide "rocket car" while giving a smart car the monster-truck treatment. On Friday, September 14, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire eight-episode first season of the series.

The entire eight-episode second season of CAR MASTERS: RUST TO RICHES dropped on Friday, March 27, 2020 on Netflix. As Gotham Garage launches a second location, the crew's challenges expand as well. But a little elbow grease and a lot of ingenuity go a long way. In the season opener, "Electric Drag," the new shop is open for business, and the Gotham crew upgrades a 1953 Buick Special and then attempts a first: converting a gas engine to electric.

As Shawn revs up business for the garage, Mark and the rest of the crew work on a variety of projects, including a '57 Chevy and a rare Lincoln Zephyr. In the season opener, "Dumpster Divin'," eager to make some cash, the crew gets to work on two projects: creating a rat rod from scratch and making a customer's Elite Laser 917 race-worthy.

CAR MASTERS: RUST TO RICHES returned for its fifth season on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, as Netflix released all eight episodes of the new season. At the end of Season 4, Mark and businessman Nick Smith joined forces, with Nick bringing in fabricators Brian and Jake to help the crew. In Season 5, as these new faces join the Gotham Garage gang, the crew prepare to bring their business to the next level -- but it'll take a lot of hard work and creativity. In the season opener, "Upping the Ante," a tribute to the '69 Dodge Charger Daytona gives newbies Brian and Jake a chance to prove their skills. Shawn's plan could snare a Ferrari 458 Italia.
