Plot Synopsis

Filmed from the perspectives of dealers, users and the police, DOPE is a one-hour documentary series that chronicles the war on drugs. On the rough streets of Oakland, law enforcement searches for a mysterious RV rumored to be driven by a high-profile drug distributor. Addicts, dealers and law enforcement officials speak about Baltimore's transformation into "the heroin capital of America." South of the border, drug traffickers use every trick in the book to push mass amounts of marijuana into the United States. As Memorial Day weekend approaches in Chicago, cops strive to get weapons off the street while drug dealers prepare for an influx of buyers. On Friday, December 22, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire four-episode first season.

On Friday, April 20, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the four-episode second season of DOPE. The drug war never ends. Camera crews follow smugglers, users and law enforcement agencies across Indiana, the Caribbean, Detroit and Atlanta.
