Plot Synopsis

Based on the segment on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN and hosted by Method Man and Hailey Baldwin, each half-hour episode of DROP THE MIC features four stars from the worlds of entertainment, music, sports and pop culture who face off against each other in a rap battle royale. At the end of each head-to-head battle, the studio audience votes to pick the winner. Originally scheduled to debut on May 2, 2017, DROP THE MIC premiered nearly six months later on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 10:30pm ET/PT with an episode featuring Halle Berry vs. James Corden and Usher vs. Anthony Anderson. Additional Season 1 matchups include: Mayim Bialik vs. Kunal Nayyar, James Corden vs. Nicole Richie, Jesse Tyler Ferguson vs. Chrissy Metz, Gina Rodriguez vs. Rob Gronkowski, Tony Hale vs. Timothy Simons, Chris Jericho vs. Laila Ali, Michael Bennett vs. Vanessa Hudgens, David Arquette vs. Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Scherzinger vs. Lil' Rel Howery, James Van Der Beek vs. Randall Park, Rascal Flatts vs. Boyz II Men and more.

Season 2 of DROP THE MIC premiered on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 10:30pm ET/PT on TBS. The second season kicks off with a David & Goliath, when Shaquille O' Neal trades bars with comedian Ken Jeong, and we see which talk show host can REALLY work the mic when Ricki Lake goes head-to-head with Jerry Springer in a classic heavyweight match. Celebrity matchups for the rest of Season 2 include Luis Fonsi vs. Terry Crews, Molly Ringwald vs. Jon Cryer, Assassination of Gianni Versace star Darren Criss vs. Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, Jay Pharoah vs. Marlon Wayans, Luis Guzman vs. Gabriel Iglesias, Lindsey Vonn vs. Gus Kenworthy, and "Glow" vs. "Pro" which includes Glow cast members Jackie Tohn, Kate Nash, Sunita Mani and Britney Young battling against WWE wrestlers Nikki Bella, Brie Bella, Carmella and Alicia Fox.

Debuting on a new network for its third season, DROP THE MIC returns with new episodes on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT on TNT. Each Season 3 episode on TNT encores the following night on TBS. The season opener, "Taran Killam vs. Rob Riggle; Boy George vs. Laverne Cox," features a fight between SNL alums when TV veteran Taran Killam battles Marine veteran Rob Riggle. Then an LGBTQ icon and activist collide as Culture Club's Boy George faces off with ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK's Laverne Cox. Subsequent episodes in Season 3 feature: Kermit & Pepe vs. Miss Piggy & Beaker and LOST's Daniel Dae Kim, Josh Holloway & Harold Perrineau; Danielle Brooks vs. Jussie Smollett and Clay Aiken vs. Ian Ziering; and more.
On Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 10pm ET/PT, TNT premiered the Season 3 finale of DROP THE MIC. In the season ender, "Glee Reunion Battle & Jason Biggs vs. Eddie Kaye Thomas," it's time for two high school reunions! GLEE's Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and Becca Tobin battle former co-stars Kevin McHale, Jenna Ushkowitz and Heather Morris. Then AMERICAN PIE's Jason Biggs and Eddie Kaye Thomas serve up slices of lyrical hurt.
