Plot Synopsis

Hosts Travis Mills and Rahne Jones uncover the harsh truths and painful secrets behind hidden love affairs. Each one-hour episode focuses on a different relationship, including: traveling nurse Vivi who met boyfriend Diontre on assignment, but they were long distance after the job ended -- now Diontre wants to live together, but Vivi hasn't met his circle and wants to know why; Mia and Kayla are engaged, but Mia hasn't met her family yet and wants to know why -- and Mia won't go on with the wedding without answers.

These are the cautionary tales of people who believe they have found the love of their lives, only to discover lies at the core of their relationships. What if your true love is hiding a massive secret... and that secret is you? In the season opener, "Macky & Shefat," after meeting on a dating site, Macky thought he finally met the love of his life, but after three years of marriage, he's yet to meet any of his wife's family members. Macky is on a mission to find out why he's being hidden.

On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9-11pm ET/PT, MTV premiered back-to-back episodes to close out the second season of HELP! I'M IN A SECRET RELATIONSHIP!:

"Gary & Giselle" (9pm): Gary and Giselle have been together for two years and have a six-month-old baby girl. Gary wants to marry Giselle, but four months ago she started hiding Gary and he needs to know why.

"King & Valerie" (10pm): One year ago, King, a DJ, fell in love with Valerie, an anime-loving make-up artist and the two have been inseparable ever since. King is ready to take their relationship to the next level, but not until he finds out why Valerie is hiding him.
