Plot Synopsis

HIT THE FLOOR is a drama series that follows the Los Angeles Devil Girls, the premier dance team in professional basketball. The Los Angeles Devils are the number one team in the league, but the players must share the spotlight with the dancers: Ahsha, a sheltered young woman, who joins the team against the wishes of her mother, Sloane, a former Devil Girl; Jelena, the ruthless star captain, who won't let anyone else share the spotlight, especially when Ahsha shows star quality; Kyle, a bright and observant stripper, who auditions for the Devil Girls and uses her considerable sexual wiles to get what she wants; Raquel, a current member of the Devil Girls, who has a four-year-old son, Miguel, with her ex, a deadbeat bully and agent for half the players on the team; and Olivia, the shrewd squad Director, who seized an opportunity to turn the Devil Girls into a multi-million dollar empire. The Devils' owner, Oscar Kincade, thoroughly enjoys watching the Devil Girls auditions and isn't opposed to offering the random girl an opportunity to get ahead. Oscar appoints his newly hired coach, Pete Davenport, as a judge for the Devil Girls' tryouts, which Davenport hates because he remembers Sloane from her days as a Devil, when they were both young and getting into lots of trouble. Plus, Davenport's players check out the auditions, where Derek feels an instant spark with Ahsha, who is currently dating a high-school teacher with old dreams of becoming a pro basketball player. Also at the auditions, Terrence, another Devils player, connects with his girlfriend, Jelena, making them king and queen of this world. HIT THE FLOOR returned for its second season on Monday, May 26, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on VH1. The Season 1 finale shook up the Devil Girls with a new All Star, new Devil Girl Director and several new relationships. Now that Ahsha is single, there's room for her and Derek to explore a relationship, but his bad-boy reputation might be more than she bargained for. Sloane has taken the job as Devil Girl Director, adding tension to an already strained mother-daughter relationship. Jelena keeps a close eye on both Ahsha and Sloane, watching for any opportunity to get rid of them both. There are love triangles galore as new characters join this juicy soap. Zero, a player that rivals Derek and Terrence in ability, joins the Devils and immediately lusts after Jelena. After flirting off and on during Season 1, Pete and Raquel decide to give a relationship a try. Dating Pete proves to be more of a challenge than Raquel expected, when his estranged, starlet wife Lionel shows up on the scene. One by one, dirt is dug up on our main characters as Devils Nation is rocked by a season long mystery. Season 3 of HIT THE FLOOR premiered on Monday, January 18 at 10pm ET/PT on VH1. Last season, the Devils won the Championship, but saw their owner Oscar Kinkade arrested for the murder of a Devil Girl. But there's another murderer still at large: Ahsha's long-time boyfriend German, who was revealed in Season 2's shocking finale to be Olivia Vincent's killer. Unaware of her boyfriend's deadly secret, Ahsha is reunited with him, but bad boy MVP Derek has vowed to get her back. The Devils not only have a title, they have a new boss: Coach Pete's ex-wife Lionel. And she's going to make life hell for Pete and Sloane. But Sloane's not going down without a fight. Meanwhile Jelena, the mastermind who put Lionel in Oscar's chair, continues to pull the strings, all while tending to an injured Terrence, who gave everything to win the title. Season 3 guest stars include: William Baldwin, Michael Beach, Jonathan Bennett, Andy Buckley, Francia Raisa, Kim Wayans and the return of Lynn Whitfield. One week earlier -- on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 9pm -- VH1 premiered the "Instant Replay" special of HIT THE FLOOR. This new one-hour special revealed the top ten most shocking moments from the first two season, and recapped all of the dancing and drama. Season 4 of HIT THE FLOOR premiered on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on a new network: BET. This season sees the returns of prodigal star Derek, shrewd Lionel, Devil Girl captain Kyle, coach Pete, and rising star Jude as power players on the chess board of Devils Arena. German also returns in an unexpected way, along with other fan favorites who'll make their own vicious moves. The season also features new dancers battling for the throne of the LA Devil Girls -- talented choreographer London looking for a fresh start, pitted against the ambitious Jamie, fighting for her chance to shine. Rookie Devils player Pax arrives on the court looking to prove himself, and there's sideline reporter Noah, who walks a fine line between making the news and reporting it. Rounding out the new cast is the mysterious Eve, who joins the league with surprising ties to Devils Nation. In the season opener, "Slay," a return to Devils Arena finds a dynasty in crisis. Devils owner Jelena Howard sets on rebuilding the team, while Devil Girls captain Kyle auditions new dancers, and the competition is fierce. The fates of several relationships are revealed, and new ones are sparked. And a loss hits Devils Nation hard.
