Plot Synopsis

THE HOUSEBOAT is a half-hour docuseries that follows two musicians who undertake a daunting project: turn a late singer's houseboat into a creative musical space. Olli Schulz and Fynn Kliemann buy the houseboat of late singer Gunter Gabriel (known as "Germany's Johnny Cash"). They soon realize turning it into a music venue will be an arduous challenge, so construction manager Max Luth joins the team. Facing significant issues, Olli and Fynn contemplate whether it's worth continuing the reconstruction, and the ongoing challenges of the project lead to conflict between the duo. With the houseboat finally shaping up, the team works on the interior and searches for the perfect place to moor it once the restoration is complete. Netflix released the entire four-episode first season of THE HOUSEBOAT on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.
