Plot Synopsis

Female detective Jane Timoney has to stand her ground in a tough New York City precinct dominated by men as she works with a collection of officers called "The Beef Trust." On the job, she's a recent transfer who's often rude, abrupt and occasionally reckless, and her new colleagues already dislike her. At home, Jane lives with her boyfriend Matt, who is fighting his ex-wife to allow his son to stay on overnight visits with him and Jane.
