Plot Synopsis

Seeking to recover his memory, a scissor-wielding, hairdressing, bungling quasi-assassin stumbles into a struggle for power among feuding factions. The story begins with cash-strapped Seven flunking a crash course in professional killing and opening a hair salon as a cover. First assignment: cut off a bride's hair. Meow, the Chief of Cats, hires Seven to wipe out an old flame. But after hearing a star-crossed interspecies love story, he attempts to make peace. It's scissors versus sword as Seven faces off against Thirteen. He's no match for his deft opponent -- so he transforms into half a durian. On Friday, January 10, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released 14 episodes of this quarter-hour animated series.

The 10-episode second season of SCISSOR SEVEN premiered on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire season. While sharpening his skills at his day job, Seven confronts a new crop of assassins as his past threatens to cut short his attempts at a normal life.

Netflix released the entire 10-episode third season of SCISSOR SEVEN on Sunday, October 3, 2021. After his departure from Chicken Island, Seven makes a few detours before winding up in Xuanwu, where there's a steep price on his head. In the season opener, "Farewell," after word spreads about Seven's triumph over the Blood Demon, Seven realizes he must leave the island in order to keep its residents safe.

Season 4 of SCISSOR SEVEN debuted on Thursday, September 21, 2023 on Netflix, which released the entire 10-episode new season. After an intense battle, a severely wounded Seven must bounce back to defend Chicken Island and his friends from another ruthless Shadow assassin. In the season opener, "The 'Immortal' Black Bird," to rescue Thirteen, Seven confronts Blackbird in a heated battle as a secret history of the Flying Bird Sect resurfaces.
