Plot Synopsis

STREET SCIENCE is a half-hour, man-on-the-street series that follows science guy Kevin Delaney, as he leaves his lab behind to hit the road for unusual, off-beat, and mind-blowing experiments. Combining scientific method with curiosity and plain old-fashioned ingenuity, these larger-than-life demos produce fire, explosions and colorful reactions as Kevin's side kick Darren Dyk catches it all with amazing slow motion footage that provides insight of what the eye can't normally see. At the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock, AR, Kevin performs science experiments for kids by day and inspires adults at night with his Science after Dark program which motivates families to inquire, interact and get involved with science. In the series opener, "Big Bam Boom," Kevin and his team of experts head to the streets to show what it takes to make it snow in Florida; what happens when pressurized liquid nitrogen and thousands of ping pong balls are combined. Then, in the second episode, "Fire Tornado," Kevin and his team of experts explore the incredible science behind fire; demonstrating how to make it rain fire and how to create a fire tornado.
On Wednesday, February 8, 2017 from 10-11pm ET/PT, Science Channel premiered the season finale of STREET SCIENCE, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the night's first new episode (10pm), "Fistful of Flames," Kevin and his team of experts investigate the secret science at work in your kitchen. They show how you can hold fire in the palm of your hand, reveal what it takes to break a wine glass with sound, and discover incredible uses for fire extinguishers. Then, in the season ender (10:30pm), "Rocket Blast," Kevin and his team of experts explore the amazing science behind rockets, using unconventional materials to power homemade projectiles to incredible heights.
