Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, WELLINGTON PARANORMAL follows the adventures of Officers O'Leary and Minogue, hard-working members of the Wellington constabulary's paranormal unit who, under the supervision of Sergeant Maaka, investigate supernatural occurrences that arise in the capital of New Zealand on a surprisingly regular basis. This spinoff of the original mockumentary film WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS had its U.S. premiere on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 9-10pm ET/PT, as The CW presented two episodes.

Season 2 of WELLINGTON PARANORMAL made its U.S. debut on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on The CW. In the season opener, "The Not Ness Monster," Officers Minogue and O'Leary head for the ocean, joined by Sergeant Maaka, when 10 anglers disappear from around Wellington Harbour in mysterious circumstances.
On Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT, The CW premiered "Mobots," the Season 2 finale of WELLINGTON PARANORMAL. Officer Minogue meets Officer O'Leary's mom when they use her house for a stakeout to investigate why a mass quantity of obsolete electronics goes missing.

WELLINGTON PARANORMAL has been renewed through a fourth season, with the third season having aired earlier in 2021 in New Zealand.
