Plot Synopsis

In each one-hour episode of WIZARD WARS, hosted by Ellen Fox, a team of young magicians compete against the show's resident illusionists, as they vie for the $10,000 prize by impressing the judges -- Penn & Teller, Jason Latimer, Christen Gerhart -- with their ability to create routines and illusions using only a random assortment of everyday objects. Each episode begins with two teams of magicians going head-to-head with a limited amount of time to create an original routine, transforming objects such as dog treats, leaf blowers, a pirate's costume and garden gnomes into engaging magic performances before a live audience. The winning team enters The Wizard War, competing against the expert home team of magicians and illusionists for the $10,000 cash prize. The home team, which covers every discipline in magic from sleight of hand to large-scale stage illusion, is comprised of: Gregory Wilson, a two-time World Championship of Magic winner; David Shimshi, the Wynn Resort resident magician and quarterfinalist in Season 3 of AMERICA'S GOT TALENT; Justin Flom, a YouTube sensation and contemporary street illusionist; and Angela Funovits, a medical school graduate and runner-up on PHENOMENON. In the series premiere, two edgy young American magic creators -- Kyle Marlett of Las Vegas, NV and Dalton Wayne of Columbus, OH -- take on a team of Canada's best illusionists, Chris Funk and Ekaterina. Their challenge is to take Spam and Super Soakers and incorporate them into a magic performance. After a four-month break, WIZARD WARS returned with six new episodes on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on Syfy, showcasing magicians from Chicago, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and more. In the January premiere, "Fire and Mice," teams of magicians from Chicago and Las Vegas must turn objects into mind-blowing illusions for the chance to face the Wizards. Props include: Tiki torches, a Tennis Racket and Balls, Mice and others!

On Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Syfy premiered the season finale of WIZARD WARS. In the season ender, "Walking on Water," teams of magicians from Philadelphia and Los Angeles compete to see who gets to face the Wizards in a fishing-themed battle, with props that include a fishing pole, pink flamingo and a foot-long sandwich.
