Plot Synopsis

First played in 1903 as a best-of-nine series, each year since 1905 Major League Baseball has hosted its WORLD SERIES as a best-of-seven championship series between the pennant winners in the American and National Leagues.
The 2018 World Series begins on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 on FOX, marking the 21st year that FOX has exclusive television coverage. This year, the 92-win Los Angeles Dodgers return to the World Series for the second consecutive year, taking on the 108-win Boston Red Sox, who make their first World Series appearance since they won the Fall Classic in 2013. Joe Buck returns as the play-by-play announcer, and he's once again joined by John Smoltz as the color commentator. Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci reprise their roles as field reporters.

Home field advantage goes to the Red Sox in this 2-3-2 format, meaning the first two games are in Boston, followed by Games 3, 4, and 5 (if necessary) in Los Angeles. If necessary, Games 6 and 7 are back in Boston. For streaming, all World Series games on FOX are available on Fox Sports GO! for authenticated subscribers to the network through a participating pay TV provider. Plus, FOX can be streamed live with YouTube TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV, Sling TV, fuboTV, and Playstation Vue. For those just listening, ESPN Radio covers all World Series games, with Dan Shulman calling play-by-play, Chris Singleton as color analyst, and Buster Olney as field reporter. Supporting World Series content is available via MLB Network,, MLB International and SiriusXM.
