Plot Synopsis

Based on Dennis Tafoya's 2009 book of the same name, DOPE THIEF is a one-hour drama series that follows Ray and Manny -- two long-time Philly friends and delinquents -- who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside. It's the perfect grift -- until they choose the wrong mark, unwittingly reveal and unravel the biggest hidden narcotics corridor on the Eastern Seaboard, and become targets of a massive illicit drug enterprise. DOPE THIEF premiered on Friday, March 14, 2025 on Apple TV+, which released the first two episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Fridays through April 25.
