Plot Synopsis

HOSTAGE RESCUE is a one-hour docuseries that tells the real-life stories of hostages in peril and the brave heroes who risk everything to save them. In the United States and abroad, life and death hang in the balance for these hostages. In the series opener, "Danger at the Door," when an armed stranger appears late at night inside her home, a quick-thinking mom, Holly Jo Samuelson, must keep her family alive until police on a manhunt locate him and engage in a wild standoff.
