Hosted by Stephen Colbert for the first time, the 69th PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS are broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 8-11pm ET/5-8pm PT on CBS. On Thursday, July 13, 2017 the Nominations for the 69th Emmy® Awards were announced by the Television Academy in a ceremony hosted by Television Academy Chairman and CEO Hayma Washington along with Anna Chlumsky from the HBO series Veep and Shemar Moore from CBS’ S.W.A.T. This year’s seven Drama Series nominees include programs distributed across broadcast, cable and digital platforms: BETTER CALL SAUL, THE CROWN, THE HANDMAID'S TALE, HOUSE OF CARDS, STRANGER THINGS, THIS IS US and WESTWORLD. Nominations were also spread over distribution platforms in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, with newcomer ATLANTA joined by the acclaimed BLACK-ISH, MASTER OF NONE, MODERN FAMILY, SILICON VALLEY, UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT and VEEP. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE and WESTWORLD led the tally for the most nominations (22) in all categories, followed by STRANGER THINGS and FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN (18) and VEEP (17). Leading the nominations in totals by platform were HBO (110), Netflix (91) and NBC (60).

• 2017 is the 20th year Sequoia Productions has produced the Emmy Awards Governors Ball: 1998-2017
• 5,000 paper tubes ranging in length from 2’ to 20’ will be used to create the ceiling installation
• 9,000 feet of ¼” black cable will be used to hang the tubes
• 350 Guest Tables
• 4,000 Chairs
• Floral centerpieces will utilize over 20,000 stems of large calla lilies and over 300 custom gold containers
• Each calla lily centerpiece will require the work of 2 floral designers
• Over 7,500 yards of custom woven, textured Metallic Gilt fabric will used to cover the 350 guest tables
• Over 3,000 yards of additional fabrics comprise the 8,500 napkins
• Over 1,000 yards of fabric will be used in the bar and dessert areas in combinations of shimmering Metallic Champagne, Gilt, Gold and Buff tones
• Over 4,000 total hours of design and preparation are required to produce these linens, including cutting and sewing each linen to fit each long dinging table perfectly
• Over one-half mile of steel tubing and 86 wheels will be used in the center stage turntable
• 1,200,000 pieces of gold glitter on the center stage
• 5,000 yards of fabric will cover the ceiling beams and truss structure
• 7,500 cable ties will secure all the black fabric in the room
• 20 miles of black thread will be used
• More than 250 curtain clips will secure the seams of the star drop drape panels
• 38,900 feet of cable are used for the lighting
• 12,800 zip ties
• 2,390 lbs. of sand for sandbags
• 364 low voltage pin spots and 300 Edison pendant lights
