Plot Synopsis

Hopeful designers vie for their own design show on HGTV as they compete against each other in elimination challenges while trying to dazzle the judging panel with their creativity and ingenuity. Past winners include: David Bromstad (COLOR SPLASH) in Season 1; Kim Myles (MYLES OF STYLE) in Season 2; Jennifer Bertrand (PAINT OVER!) in Season 3; Antonio Ballatore (THE ANTONIO TREATMENT) in Season 4; Emily Henderson (SECRETS FROM A STYLIST) in Season 5; Meg Caswell (MEG'S GREAT ROOMS) in Season 6; Danielle Colding (SHOP THIS ROOM) in Season 7. This series returned for its eighth season with a new name, HGTV STAR, on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT on HGTV, as 10 new hopefuls vied to win their own show.
