Plot Synopsis

Set and filmed in Charleston, SC, this one-hour legal drama follows Roy, a Southern city attorney, and Jamie, a gorgeous Yankee litigator, as they battle in the courtroom over a police sex scandal while fighting to hide their attraction. Jamie is enviously cool, confident and armed with south side of Chicago street-smarts, while Roy is a divorced father of two, embodies the Old South and is the newly minted City Attorney. Each attorney is helped by someone close to them: Jamie has her paralegal, Vi Briggs, and Roy has his ex-father-in-law and mentor, Dec Fortnum, who got him his job as City Attorney. Plus, the Charleston PD includes Chief of Police Holland Knox and these officers: well-respected Preston Cruz, who is Jamie's boyfriend and may not be all that he appears; bad-boy Terry McCandless, a cocky and corrupt detective; and disgraced cop Lee Anne, who hires Jamie to represent her in a lawsuit against the police department. Whether it's a custody battle or a stand-your-ground lawsuit, Jamie and Roy take on a different case each week -- often against each other -- while they continue to work on Lee Anne's suit against the police department, which is resolved in the season finale.

On Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 8-10pm ET/PT, CBS debuted the two-part season finale of RECKLESS. In the two-hour season ender, "Civil Wars," Jamie and Roy are on opposite sides of the biggest courtroom battle of their careers when Lee Anne's sexual harassment case against the Charleston Police Department finally goes to trial and a verdict is rendered. Meanwhile, Jamie and Roy decide whether or not they are ready to take the next step in their relationship.
