Plot Synopsis

TOTAL DRAMA is an animated, comedic version of SURVIVOR and THE AMAZING RACE, with a different location each season, as a group of people compete for a grand prize of $100,000 (Season 1) or $1,000,000 (Seasons 2 - 6). In Season 1, 22 city kids are sent to Camp Wawanakwa, a bug infested summer camp in Northern Ontario, where they try to survive backstabbing, scheming, sabotage, and broken alliances -- as well as the wilderness. In the following season, 14 contestants travel to Hollywood, where they compete on a film studio back-lot that's inspired by the movies. For Season 3, the series is more like THE AMAZING RACE, as host Chris McLean flies a group of 17 contestants around the world, as they engage in challenges ranging from bungee jumping off the Eiffel Tower to going over Niagra Falls on homemade rafts. In its fourth season, the program returns to Camp Wawanakwa, which is even more dilapidated than before -- and now radioactive since it's been abandoned for two seasons -- where 13 new contestants compete for the grand prize. On Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 7pm ET/PT, Comedy Central aired the U.S. premiere of Season 5, TOTAL DRAMA ALL STARS, during which 14 contestants from previous seasons return to Camp Wawanakwa to compete in some of the most daunting, dangerous and of course disgusting challenges from seasons past.

On Monday, July 7, 2014 at 6pm ET/PT, Cartoon Network aired the Season 6 premiere, called TOTAL DRAMA PAHKITEW ISLAND. The season opened with a one-hour episode, and then Cartoon Network aired a new half-hour episode each weeknight at 6pm for two weeks, with the one-hour season finale on Friday, July 18 at 6pm. This season, sometimes called the second half of Season 5, features 14 all-new contestants on an all-new island in Western Canada, as host Chris McLean puts a fresh collection of contestants through the most grueling challenges yet.
