Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Ann Rule. Oregon investment wheeler-dealer, Brad Cunningham, abuses,terrorizes and threatens to murder his wife, a high-powered attorney, if she tries to leave him. In the course of an ugly divorce, she discovers his many marriages and the fact that he has another woman waiting to wed. The wife is soon found dead, and the police try to build their case without a witness or murder weapon. After eight years and a civil trial brought against him by the victim's family, he is eventually brought to justice in a criminal trial. He is convicted and sentenced to prison.
