Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Johanna Spyri. A charming little Swiss orphan girl comes to live with her emotionally distant grandfather in a cabin in the mountains. She eventually melts the old mans heart but is soon removed from his home by a sneaky cousin who takes her to Frankfurt to be a companion for a sickly child and is abused by a nasty governess. Grandpa finally wins the child back and Heidi is once again in the Alps living happily ever after.
