Plot Synopsis
Based on the book, prequel to Lonesome Dove. The 1840s adventures and camaraderie of 19-year-old Texas Rangers, Gus McCrae and Woodrow Call. Under the command of a ruthless colonel, the youths are sent to take Santa Fe and make New Mexico part of the Texas republic. They face capture by the Mexican army, enraged Comanche war parties and feisty codgers full of sagebrush wisdom, while forging a friendship that will last a lifetime.
