Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Naomi Judd and Bud Schaetzle. The story of Kentucky country singer Naomi Judd who endured teenage pregnancy, a failed first marriage, low wage jobs, and years of hardship before she and her daughter Wynonna hit it big in country music. As they rose to fame and fortune, mother and daughter found the pressure of living and working together almost too much to bear. When Naomi discovers she has chronic hepatitis she leaves the Grammy winning act and ultimately cuts the emotional and professional cord with her strong willed child.
