Plot Synopsis
In 1898 Teddy Roosevelt, assistant secretary of the Navy, gathers a group of men to fight the Spanish forces who've invaded Cuba and sunk the US battleship Maine. The Rough Riders are comprised of two outlaws, a senator, four wealthy patricians and an assortment of cowboys most of whom--including Roosevelt have little or no military training. They fight valiantly and eventually capture San Juan Hill.
