Plot Synopsis
Based on the book. Remake of 1980 feature. A frustrated, alcoholic writer serves as a caretaker at a remote Colorado hotel that is closed for the winter. Snowbound with his wife and 7-year old clairvoyant son, he soon begins drinking again... and slowly loses his mind. Goaded by the hotel's resident ghosts, he violently goes after his family with a croquet mallet.
