Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Susan Isaacs. Audrey Brandon has just celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary to Michael, who seems like the greatest husband on Earth. But as soon as the party's over, Michael tells Audrey that their marriage is over and he's leaving her for a younger woman. Audrey is sent reeling and spends a summer grieving the trauma of getting dumped. Then, she suddenly awakes one evening to find Michael stabbed to death on her kitchen floor and she has no idea how he got there. When the police name her as their prime suspect, she skips town to find the real killer -- and to save her own life. With the help of her friends, she questions her ex-husband's inner circle and finds unexpected allies and enemies. Her quest for answers also leads Audrey to some of Michael's confidants, including a former publicist, an ex-secretary and a best pal. It starts to seem as if anyone and everyone could have had a motive to bump off Mike, and she must work fast to solve the mystery before the police apprehend her. Finally, the clues start to add up and a potential real suspect is singled out. She returns home to investigate this mysterious woman and to clear her own name once and for all.
