Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Evan Maxwell. After a 20 year absence, a retired federal agent returns to the Pacific Northwest island when he learns that his uncle is dying of cancer. Years earlier he had an affair with a local girl whose brother he arrested for poaching. Now, two decades later, the couple reunite and confront long held resentments and guarded secrets. He eventually discovers he has a grown son.
