Plot Synopsis
In 2007, Seattle honors student Amanda Knox, studying abroad in Perugia, Italy, is accused -- along with her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito and acquaintance Rudy Guede -- of murdering her roommate, Meredith Kercher. Referred to as "Foxy Knoxy" by Italian prosecutor Guiliani Mignini and the press, Knox was painted as an oversexed remorseless killer during her two-year trial leading up to her conviction and subsequent sentencing to 26 years in jail. With the undying support of her mother Edda Mellas, Amanda, who maintains her innocence, is in the middle of an appeal against the conviction.
