Plot Synopsis
Based on the play by Wendy Wasserstein. A prominent female physician becomes a nominee for Surgeon General and while awaiting confirmation the media begins to investigates her family and friends. Her personal and profession life becomes unhinged when it is revealed that she once failed to respond to a call for jury duty. A media circus ensues which eventually leads to the good doctor withdraw her nomination.
