Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Sonny Bono. Aspiring songwriter Sonny Bono weds teenager Cherilyn LaPiere and together they rise to stardom as the hot musical duo of the '60s. But as tastes change, their popularity dims. Sonny refuses to give up and reinvents them as a top Vegas act. Later, they star in a hit TV show. But despite their fame, a rift develops between the two, and America's favorite couple split up.
