Plot Synopsis

Chloe, editor at her parents' publishing company in Angel Falls, still holds a grudge against Ryan, editor at Pages Publishing in New York, ever since he "stole" her dream job after college. Back home to settle his parents' estate, Ryan visits Chloe's parents, and after revealing he's between jobs, he's offered a consulting position. Upset, Chloe goes to the bookstore to vent with her friend, while Anthony, an "angelic" gentleman, leaves a book jutting from a shelf, which Chloe takes home. At work the next morning, she finds Anthony is the new receptionist. He hands her the bestseller list, and at the top is the same novel, "Memories of Christmas." Seeing it, Ryan mentions the author just rented his parents' house. Wistfully, Chloe says she wishes she could sign a writer like that, to which Anthony wisely points out, "A wish isn't going to grant itself." That night, Ryan introduces Chloe to the author at a holiday event but when asked about her future books, the author sadly replies she's written her last. Her late husband grew up in Angel Falls, and she wanted to be close to his spirit but is leaving because the memories are too painful. Missing his parents, Ryan's been escaping memories too, and when he tells Chloe why he left Angel Falls, she sees a more tender man. Good thing a wise Angel is in town, keeping people from making more mistakes by running away from love, and a very special community.
