Plot Synopsis
Laura,Almanzo and daughter Rose leave their home in South Dakota to seek a better life in Missouri. After an arduous wagon journey they buy a rundown farm-- but hard times and illness almost force them to give up and return to South Dakota in defeat. But bolstered by their enduring love and commitment to one another, this beloved frontier family ultimately thrives.
