Plot Synopsis

After sucking dry the massive fish populations, thousands of starved lampreys begin attacking the citizens of a sleepy Michigan lake town. With their huge-toothed, funnel-like mouths, they slither their way through the town's sewer system, turning every dip in the pool or trip to the toilet into a life-or-death situation. Now their only hope lies with Michael, a marine wildlife biologist. His wife, Kate, desperately tries to protect their two kids, but when the lampreys prove more resilient than even Michael realizes, he and the others must figure out new ways of stopping the blood-hungry river monsters before they suck their way to Lake Michigan and waterways around the world. RIVER MONSTERS host and extreme angler Jeremy Wade plays an "expert" in the film.
