Plot Synopsis

Based on characters from the book ''Born Free'' by Joy Adamson. A widower and research scientist moves his family to Africa after receiving a grant to study viruses. His teenage son resents being uprooted but soon befriends a tame lioness who has been raised by a young girl who rescues orphaned and hurt wild animals. The local game warden must place the now-mature lioness in a zoo unless the two teens can reacclimate her to the wild.
