Plot Synopsis

Based on the novel by Karen Kingsbury. Growing up in Boston, Molly Allen moves to small-town Tennessee to start college, and for the first time living away from her overprotective father, his wealth, and the future he has planned for her. On the first day of class, she meets Ryan, a country music singer at heart who is afraid to pursue his dreams. He is going to college on scholarship to become a music teacher and be the reliable man that he believes his single mother raised him to be. An undeniable love soon grows between them shepherded by Charlie and Donna, the loving owners of a local bookstore called The Bridge where they spend hours studying and inspiring each other to dream their 10-year goal. But tragedy strikes and they must protect their precious bookstore that has become their second home before they can pursue their dreams.
