Plot Synopsis

James White is one of dozens of associate pastors at his rich mega-church in Southern California under the tutelage of televangelist Johnny Kingman. Rev. White has always longed to have his own church and jumps at the opportunity to become pastor of the impoverished Divine Faith Apostolic Church in Atlanta. His wife, Lily White, and two children, Emma and Cooper, are not enthusiastic about his new assignment. Neither is the congregation itself, but with the help of Deacon Hill, they will have to pull together to save the church from a corrupt banker who is anxious to foreclose. When Pastor White delivers the news to the former first lady of the church, Veena, that he can deliver Bebe Winans to perform at the church fundraiser, trust and a new faith begin to transform between the White family and the congregation.
