Plot Synopsis

Based on the book ''Girl in Hyacinth Blue'' by Susan Vreeland. An eccentric teacher who is secretly in possession of a ''lost'' Vermeer painting and, who has devoted her life to researching its history, decides to share the art works past with a new colleague. Passing through different hands over the years the Dutch painting eventually ended up with her father, who during WWll took the painting from its Jewish owner whom he then had deported to the camps. Haunted by the dirty secret of how her father obtained the painting, she is unable to face the shame that has tortured her for years.
