Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Charlaine Harris and the sixth movie in the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries "Aurora Teagarden" Mystery Movie franchise. Aurora Teagarden's love of mysteries hits close to home once again after a young woman with a baby shows up at her house, claiming to be the long lost niece of her boyfriend, Martin. Regina explained she needed time on her own after her parents died and became somewhat estranged from her family. After the recent birth of her baby, she felt compelled to bring him to meet her uncle. Martin is thrilled to see Regina again, though Regina seems a bit vague about her husband Craig's whereabouts. And when Martin and Aurora head back to her place after a party, they make some surprising discoveries -- a dead man is on the front porch, Regina is nowhere to be found, a stranger is hiding in the linen closet and the baby is in the empty bathtub. Newly appointed police chief Lynn and her police detective husband Arthur are conducting the official investigation. Never one to avoid the unraveling of a mystery, Aurora wastes no time investigating it on her own. Working closely with Martin, who is keen on finding his niece, she soon discovers that the dead man is Regina's husband, Craig, and the guy hiding in the closet was his buddy, Rory, and that both of them had been released from prison just the day before. The mystery deepens when $10,000 cash is discovered in the bottom of the baby's diaper bag. There are lots of questions to be answered, and an infant to care for as well, so Aurora certainly has her work cut out for her. Mom, Aida pitches in on the babysitting front and, one by one, Aurora begins to piece together the seemingly unconnected clues. Just as she is about to close in on the killer, Aurora discovers that she might just be their next victim.
