Plot Synopsis

In 1914 New York, Margaret Sanger a nurse and mother of three, is shocked by the alarming number of deaths caused by self-induced abortions among the city's impoverished women. She begins a campaign to establish ''the right of women to make a choice about maternity''. In doing so, she come up against the powerful, puritanical Anthony Comstockk, a government censor who's determined to stop her at all costs. Her ground-breaking crusade eventually leads to the formation of the Planned Parenthood Organization.
