Plot Synopsis

Based on the book by Donna VanLiere. It'a couple of weeks before the holidays and elementary school teacher Lauren Gabriel decides to leave the comfort and familiarity of Boston and her career driven boyfriend for a new teaching job in a more family-friendly/white-picket fence kind of city hundreds of miles away. Alone except for her cat, she boards the train excited and ready to embark on her new life. En route the train is unexpectedly delayed in the small, quaint town of Grandon Falls nicknamed "Christmastown" and a place frequented by her late father, a traveling salesman. Stranded, she enlists the help of the town's handyman the handsome Travis Mabry and his young foster son Dylan, who help her settle into a room above the antique store for the night. As she gazes out the attic window at the picturesque town, she also thinks of her missing beloved family heirloom and hopes maybe, just maybe, it is hidden somewhere among the town's long-lost treasures. During the days leading up to Christmas, Lauren is caught completely off guard by a surprise visit from a heartbroken ex-boyfrieind and she is forced to make a choice. Not only must she decide which life she wants, but when presented with an unexpected opportunity she realizes that Christmas and Grandon Falls have a way of making miracles happen.
