Plot Synopsis

Heidi Nelson, moved to New York from Pleasant Valley to become an artist, and put that dream on hold when she got a job in a gallery. Now, a week before the gallery's big Christmas party, she must return home to watch her niece and nephew. There, she comes face to face with her high school love, Chris Shepherd, now a teacher, who must find a new last-minute location for the Christmas dance and Heidi offer to help. She begins to realize that being back in Pleasant Valley is good for her soul. She begins painting again in earnest, and loves it. But a call from her boss Julia promising to promote her paintings in New York means she must return before the dance. Now that she and Chris have practically fallen in love all over again, she must decide what to do about her future. If she returns to New York, she now has a good shot at seeing her dreams as an artist realized. And if she remains in Pleasant Valley, she might just recapture the love she walked away from years ago. Only her heart can tell her the right thing to do.
