Plot Synopsis

After a near fatal accident, Sara and Roy Peyton move to the small town of Cold Spring in upstate New York to start a new life. The accident also serves as a wakeup call for Roy who breaks off an affair with his mistress, Diane. Just as they begin to settle in, Diane shows up and declares she cannot live without Roy and will be staying in Cold Spring to be near him. When Roy goes to visit Diane to ask her to leave, he meets her young son for the first time. Knowing how much he wants to be a father, Diane tricks Roy into spending time with Jacob. Despite the temptation, Roy insists he will remain faithful to Sara and leaves Diane and Jacob for good. From that moment, any woman Roy comes in contact with turns up dead and Roy becomes the prime suspect in their murders.
