Plot Synopsis

Four black youths from the Bronx hijack a car and in the process kill a white New Jersey woman. The Manhattan D.A,. trying to further his mayoral ambitions, wrangles the case into his jurisdiction. A black minister-activist whips up the media claiming the defendants are victims of racism, while their court-appointed liberal lawyer puts law enforcement on trial. As legal negotiations, public rhetoric and media frenzy escalate, the slain woman's husband, disgusted with the system, makes his own desperate effort to secure justice for his dead wife.
