Plot Synopsis

The rumpled detective undertakes an unusual assignment when a Hollywood gossip reporter disappears and all the evidence points to one of the last people who saw her alive-- a mortician-to-the-stars with more than a few skeletons rattling around in his closet. Meanwhile, a newly-minted Hollywood widow unwittingly becomes involved in the lieutenant's investigation.
