Plot Synopsis

Based on the play by JD Lawrence. JD Stevens, a struggling New York actor and playwright, would do almost anything to help a friend in need. His loyalty is put to the test when he agrees to help his best friend Sylvester win a case in traffic court. Unknown to JD, Sylvester only owes a $25 parking ticket, not to mention a lovesick and rocky history with the presiding judge. The equally bitter relationship quickly escalates into all out chaos in the courtroom, resulting in JD and Sylvester getting sentenced to over 3500 hours of community service at the local community center run by the judge's temperamental uncle, Bishop Nixon. At first, they're none to happy about having to "serve time," but soon find that it's time well spent as they make new friendships and breathe much needed life into the Community Center.
