Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Howard Fast. During the Revolutionary War, Gen. George Washington leads his beleaguered troops across the Delaware River in a surprise attack upon 1,2000 fearless Hessian mercenaries at Trenton, N.J. At dawn on Christmas day his army of 1,000 novice recruits ambush the surprised Hessian army and win the battle without losing a single man.
