Plot Synopsis
Based on the book by Ellis A. Cohen. Civil Rights activist Lori Jackson battles the U.S. Marine Corps when she takes the case of MP Corporal Lindsey Scott, an African-American who was convicted of the rape and attempted murder of a white woman. To get his conviction overturned she enlists the help of a top law firm and brings the trial to the attention of the media. During the process she is diagnosed with terminal cancer and dies nine months after Scott is set free.
