Plot Synopsis
Based on the novel by Harvey Wheeler and Eugene Burdick. In 1962 during the Cold War a U.S. bomber pilot who, because of a computer error, is accidentally ordered to drop a nuclear warhead on Moscow. Tensions mount as the President desperately tries avoid the disaster, but unable to reach the pilot, he is forced to make a devastating decision in order to stop a nuclear war. As a homage to the early days of television, this production was broadcast live in black-and-white.
